Richard has been in the watch industry for almost a quarter of a centaury. He began by studying at Hackney College in London and then went on to Wostep in Switzerland to complete his studies. After working for a local watchmaker in Southampton he moved onto working for Omega as a production watchmaker, giving him a firm base on practical watch making.
After a period of years it was time for Richard to move on to a more challenging position with 'Rolex Watch Co. They gave him extensive knowledge and further training to the elite of watch brands. After being with Rolex for nine years he was approached by Breitling London to set up their after sales workshop, giving a different insight into the business.
The challenge of this project completed, Richard decided to set up his own after sales business offering exclusive watch repairs. West repairs has successfully traded for nearly ten years and its success can be measured by its appointment as a Movado repair agent for the UK and approved BHI Rolex repairers.
The business employs two watchmakers, along with one full time and one part time administrator. The company is currently undertaking repairs for various retail outlets as well as being the authorised repair agents for Movado and ESQ.
The workshop is fitted out with the highest standard of equipment and includes a computerised database where all repairs are logged onto immediately on arrival. We then pass on any estimates required after the watches have been inspected and await instructions to proceed.
We are extremely adaptable and can tailor our system to suit your individual needs. Our turn around on work for part jobs is 2 weeks and on service work 4 weeks. If parts are required to be made or purchased from other sources there will be a time delay and we will notify you immediately by telephone, fax, letter or E-Mail.
